Description
The Aluminium Planter Rail 3.6m is a prefabricated structural profile used in conjunction with the Metal Planters adjustable fire rated pedestal system to form the sub-frame of the Planter Substrate System. This aluminium planter rail provides the primary horizontal connection between pedestals, creating a rigid, level framework onto which planter bases, decking boards, or other surface materials are installed.
Manufactured from 6063 T6 grade aluminium, this aluminium planter rail will not warp, rust, or bend. The 6063 T6 alloy delivers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, allowing the aluminium planter rail to produce long spans between pedestals. This spanning capability has been tried and tested with specific weight calculations to ensure reliable structural performance under load.
The aluminium planter rail is non-combustible and carries an A1 fire rating to BS EN 13501 (BS EN 13824). This is the highest possible fire classification for a construction material, meaning this aluminium planter rail will not contribute to fire in any way. For projects where fire safety compliance is essential, specifying an A1 rated aluminium planter rail provides the strongest possible fire performance evidence for building control submissions.
